Hifi Finance Suspected of Governance Attack as 25 Million HIFI Tokens Are Minted

DeFi lending protocol Hifi Finance is suspected of suffering a DAO governance attack, in which 25 million HIFI tokens were minted. According to ChainCatcher, on-chain researcher Spreek said an address funded by Tornado Cash cast four votes near the end of a governance vote and took control of protocol governance. The address then minted the tokens and transferred all user collateral held by the protocol, valued at about $1 million, most of it RWA tokens.
