ARK Invest’s Lorenzo Valente Says Hyperliquid RWA Volume Surpassed Crypto Trading

ARK Invest research head Lorenzo Valente said on X that DeFi is entering a new era, citing Hyperliquid’s first weekly RWA trading volume to exceed crypto trading volume. According to Odaily, he said RWA accounted for 54% of total trading volume, while single-stock trading on HIP-3 has exceeded index and commodity trading since June and now makes up 61% of all RWA volume.He said total DEX perpetual contract trading volume was $79 billion last week, including $50 billion on Hyperliquid, of which $26 billion came from HIP-3 RWA trading. Valente added that Hyperliquid’s RWA market size has exceeded the combined crypto perpetual trading volume of all other DEXs.
