Trump's Immigration Clampdown a Possible Headwind to Digital Assets — Market Talk

U.S. President Trump's tightening of immigration controls could present a headwind to digital assets, Zaye Capital Markets analyst Naeem Aslam says in a note. "For tech investors and digital asset markets--where the free movement of global talent is core--such moves might presage constraints in the future, impacting innovation cycles and digital asset flows." That comes amid Trump's expanding foray into cryptocurrencies, including the establishment of a strategic bitcoin reserve. Trump's efforts have improved bitcoin's mainstream adoption but also bring ethical and regulatory issues, he says. Bitcoin last trades down 0.6% at $105,578 after hitting a 10-day low of $104,648 earlier, according to LSEG. ([email protected])
