Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $91,000

Major digital assets rose late Tuesday afternoon with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) topping $91,000. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 5.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 2.5%, the S&P 500 added 2.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 2.6%. Bitcoin rose 4.7% to $91,358, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume climbed 8.6% to $44.8 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, jumped 7.4% to $1,691. XRP (XRP/USD) added 3.2%, BNB (BNB/USD) rose 1.7%, and Solana (SOL/USD) advanced 5.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) gained 8.7%, while Cardano (ADA/USD) rose 5.4%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.389% at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, down from 4.403% Monday, while the five-year yield stood at 3.975% compared with 3.957%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 4.2% in the past 24 hours to $2.84 trillion with trading volume gaining 15% to $104.1 billion.
