Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $90,000 Level

Major digital assets were firmer late afternoon Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) surpassing the $90,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, was up 2.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was up 1.4% in late trading, the S&P 500 rose 1.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.2%. Bitcoin was 3.5% higher at $90,426 according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dipped 21.1% to $52.93 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, climbed 4% to $2,234. XRP (XRP/USD) added 2.2%, BNB (BNB/USD) gained 2.8%, and Solana (SOL/USD) surged 2.4%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) rose 3.5%, while Cardano (ADA/USD) jumped 8.6%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.263% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, rising from 4.208% Tuesday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.161% from 4.002%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 2.6% in the past 24 hours to $2.96 trillion with trading volume falling 27.1% at $123.79 billion.
