Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $101,000 Level

Major digital assets rose late Thursday afternoon, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) topping the $101,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, increased 6.8% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 1.2% in late trading, the S&P 500 added 0.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.8%. Bitcoin rose 5.3% to $101,235, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 50.1% to $60.98 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, increased 16.8% to $2,097. XRP (XRP/USD) added 6.9%, BNB (BNB/USD) climbed 2.9%, and Solana (SOL/USD) gained 9.8%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) surged 11.9%, while Cardano (ADA/USD) jumped 11.8%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.367% at 3 p.m. ET Thursday, up from 4.269% Wednesday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.988% from 3.870%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 6.6% in the past 24 hours to $3.16 trillion, with trading volume up 16.9% to $138.58 billion.
