
Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Hovers Above $108,000 Level
Major digital assets were higher late Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) holding above the $108,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 1.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was little changed, the S&P 500 was down 0.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average eased 0.3%. Bitcoin was up 0.7% at $108,848, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 1.1% to $45.24 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, rose 2.5% to $2,608. XRP (XRP/USD) rose 0.6%, BNB (BNB/USD) dipped 0.1%, Solana (SOL/USD) rose 1.7%, Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) gained 1.3%, and Cardano (ADA/USD) climbed 1.4%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.413% at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, up from 4.393% Monday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.983% from 3.964%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.7% in the past 24 hours to $3.37 trillion, with trading volume down 2.4% to $100.7 billion.
