Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Holds Around $84,000 Level

Major digital assets rose late Friday afternoon, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) trading around the $84,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, gained 2.6% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 5.8% in late trading, the S&P 500 sank 6.0% and Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 5.5%. Bitcoin rose 2.5% to $84,075, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 7.4% to $46.6 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, jumped 1.4% to $1,810. XRP (XRP/USD) surged 3.6%, BNB (BNB/USD) rose 1.7%, and Solana (SOL/USD) added 6.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) advanced 6.3%, while Cardano (ADA/USD) rose 3.4%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 3.985% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, down from 4.051% Thursday, while the five-year yield fell to 3.702% from 3.757%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 2.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.69 trillion, with trading volume dropping 15.8% to $106.56 billion.
