
Top Cryptocurrencies Mixed; Bitcoin Holds Above $95,000
Major digital assets were mixed late Friday afternoon with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) holding above $95,000. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose almost 1.7% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.8%, the S&P 500 gained 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.05%. Bitcoin rose 1.6% to $95,183, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 35.3% to $41.58 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 1.9% to $1,800. XRP (XRP/USD) dropped 0.6%, BNB (BNB/USD) gained 0.9%, while Solana (SOL/USD) dipped 0.1%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) rose 0.5%, and Cardano (ADA/USD) fell 1.8%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.264% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, down from 4.303% Thursday, while the five-year yield dropped to 3.884% from 4.925%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 1.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.97 trillion, with trading volume rising 18.6% to $106.85 billion.
