
Top Cryptocurrencies Mixed; Bitcoin Holds Above $106,000 Level
Major digital assets were mixed late Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) holding above the $106,000 level. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 0.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.4% in late trading, the S&P 500 was down 0.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.3%. Bitcoin was up 1.1% at $106,635, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 22.7% to $52.15 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, was down 1% to $2,485. XRP (XRP/USD) lost 1.5%, BNB (BNB/USD) dipped 0.2%, and Solana (SOL/USD) rose 0.5%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) gained 0.4%, and Cardano (ADA/USD) declined 0.8%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.477% at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, up from 4.471% Thursday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.063% from 4.077%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.6% in the past 24 hours to $3.34 trillion, with trading volume down 21% to $119.66 billion.
