Top Cryptocurrencies Fall; Bitcoin Hovers Above $103,000

Major digital assets fell Friday with Bitcoin (BTC/USD) hovering above $103,000. The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, shed 1.7% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.5%, the S&P 500 dropped 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 0.1%. Bitcoin fell 0.9% to $103,317, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume climbed 30% to $49.64 billion. Ethereum (ETH/USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 3.6% to $2,415. XRP (XRP/USD) lost 2%, BNB (BNB/USD) fell 0.1%, and Solana (SOL/USD) declined 4.4%. Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) slumped 4.3%, and Cardano (ADA/USD) dropped 3.7%. The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.373% at 3 p.m. ET Friday, down from 4.395% Wednesday, while the five-year yield fell to 3.959% from 3.987%. The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry decreased 1.4% in the past 24 hours to $3.19 trillion with trading volume rising 28% to $111.8 billion.
