Super League Shares Double After $10M Equity Investment From Evo Fund
By Chris WackSuper League Enterprise shares doubled to $7.93 after the company said it is receiving private placement financing from accredited investors, anchored by a $10 million strategic equity investment from Evo Fund, an internationally recognized sponsor of digital asset treasury companies.The playable media company said it expects to receive between $12 million and $20 million in proceeds from the private placement, consisting of shares of common stock and warrants to purchase common stock.Though the placement isn't guaranteed, the private placement is expected to close following the company's annual general meeting of stockholders in October.Upon consummation of the private placement, Super League will have removed all outstanding indebtedness. The company also expects the financing to help regain compliance with Nasdaq's shareholder's equity listing requirements.Super League intends to hold its annual meeting of stockholders in October, which will include a proposal to approve the issuance of the securities under the private placement.In May, the company said in a filing that it would undergo a 35% reduction in its workforce, and a restructuring of management compensation.Write to Chris Wack at [email protected]
