The Plume Foundation plans to move PLUME tokens into custody with Anchorage Digital, described as the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. in the project’s announcement. Mechanically, this means a significant portion of foundation-held PLUME will be stored with a regulated, institutional-grade custodian instead of being self-custodied by the team. This reduces key management and operational risk around large token holdings and can improve comfort for institutions that require qualified custody. While this does not change token supply dynamics directly, stronger compliance and custody infrastructure can be a prerequisite for future institutional listings, OTC flows, and structured products, which can indirectly support liquidity and market depth over time.In the next 72 hours, the Plume Foundation will transfer PLUME into custody with Digital, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S.This is a routine custody transfer and planned operational update focused on long term security.
