Lack of Understanding, High Risk Remain Barriers to Crypto Adoption in June — Market Talk
A lack of understanding and high risk remain top barriers for cryptocurrency usage even after regulatory breakthroughs, a Deutsche Bank survey on retail crypto adoption in June says. Some 47% of respondents in the U.K., 44% in the European Union and 42% in the U.S. say crypto is too risky. The survey shows 39% of U.K. respondents say crypto is highly volatile compared with 32% in the EU and U.S. The number of respondents who don't understand crypto is 41% for the U.K., 33% for the EU and 32% for the U.S. This comes despite major global policy developments, such as the U.S. announcing a strategic Bitcoin reserve, EU crypto regulations taking effect, and the U.K. publishing its draft crypto rulebook in April.
