Crypto Executives Rejoice as Trump Takes Office — Market Talk

Cryptocurrency executives exuded optimism as President Donald Trump took the oath of office on Monday. Trump has pledged support for the digital-asset industry and is expected to promote widespread adoption of crypto. "The backdrop is dramatic--more dramatic than the past few years. We're at the center of the conversation now," says Jeremy Allaire, chief executive officer of Circle Internet Financial, from the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Circle issues the USDC stablecoin. Allaire says he expects Trump to swiftly cull regulatory barriers for crypto that will lead to adoption by major banks and more dealmaking across the industry, among other things.
