Bitcoin Slides Below $87,000, Down 30% From All-Time High — WSJ

By Vicky Ge HuangBitcoin extended its declines below $87,000 Thursday, with traders continuing to wrestle with persistent macroeconomic uncertainty.The largest cryptocurrency recently traded at around $86,500, down more than 30% from a peak above $126,000 set on Oct. 6.Bitcoin has dropped about 20% this month and is on pace for its worst monthly performance since June 2022, when the collapse of crypto lender Celsius Network dragged down the broader market, according to Dow Jones Market Data.So-called crypto treasury stocks, which sell shares and debt to buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, are also under pressure.
