Bitcoin Rises as Stock Markets Gain — Market Talk
Bitcoin prices rise, helped by buoyant risk appetite as 2026 trading gets under way. European equity markets start the new year on an upbeat note, with the pan-European Stoxx Europe 600 index hitting a record high while U.S. stock futures also rise. Still, the cryptocurrency's rise is limited and it remains below the key $90,000 level. It last trades up 0.8% at $89,037, according to LSEG. Bitcoin has dropped sharply since reaching a record high of $126,223 in October amid disappointment over regulatory momentum for digital assets. ([email protected])
