Bitcoin trades close to the record high reached late Wednesday, fuelled by a tech-led rally in U.S. equities. The Nasdaq composite reached a fresh all-time high as chipmaker Nvidia became the first company to briefly reach a $4 trillion in market capitalization. A jump in Nvidia's shares helped boost stocks even as the Trump administration unveiled a list of more nations set to face hefty tariffs. Among the new tariff announcements was a 50% levy on Brazil, the highest announced so far. The tariffs will take effect on August 1 after Trump extended the Wednesday's deadline for trade negotiations.
