Bitcoin Falls as U.S. Regional Bank Concerns, U.S.-China Tensions Weigh — Market Talk

Bitcoin falls to a its lowest in nearly a week following a decline in U.S. stocks overnight on concerns about loan losses at regional banks and ongoing U.S.-China trade tensions. Zions Bancorp said it had a $50 million charge-off to cover two loans taken out by borrowers facing legal actions. Western Alliance said it filed a lawsuit in August against one of its borrowers on allegations of fraud. Meanwhile, tensions between the U.S. and China continue to simmer in the wake of President Trump threatening an additional 100% tariff on Chinese imports. China on Thursday accused the U.S. of inciting panic over its rate earths controls. Bitcoin falls 0.9% to a low of $106,728, LSEG data show. ([email protected])
