Bitcoin Eases as Possible U.S. Government Shutdown Looms — Market Talk
Bitcoin eases after reaching a one-week high overnight. The cryptocurrency's earlier gains follow a rally in U.S. tech stocks overnight. However, investors are turning cautious as U.S. lawmakers have until midnight to approve a federal spending bill or risk a government shutdown. "Limited progress over the weekend and in yesterday's discussions has kept the likelihood of a shutdown high," Danske Bank analysts say in a note. Bitcoin falls 0.2% to $114,079, having reached a high of $114,849 overnight, LSEG data show. ([email protected])
