Zcash: red·bridge goes live - Q4 2026

A Zcash announcement says red·bridge has the runway to go live in Q4 2026, enabling holders to wrap ZEC into ZEC.rbr for DeFi collateral and liquidity, then unwrap it back to native ZEC.The bridge provides a decentralized route into DeFi without requiring holders to sell their position. Wrapped ZEC can therefore serve as collateral or liquidity in supported ecosystems, expanding the ways the asset can be used while remaining convertible to native ZEC.Availability alone does not show that DeFi protocols will accept ZEC.rbr or that users will adopt it.
