White House chief crypto adviser Patrick Witt said he remains optimistic that the Clarity Act will ultimately become law, despite ongoing disputes over stablecoin yields and Trump’s crypto conflicts of interest. According to Odaily, Witt made the remarks on Tuesday at the SALT annual conference in Wyoming.Witt said lawmakers are currently in the August recess and are expected to return to Washington in mid-September. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has scheduled a procedural vote on the bill for September 15.Witt said the White House will meet with Democrats to discuss the points of disagreement and try to secure solid votes by September 15. He said he was “really optimistic and bullish” on the bill.The Clarity Act, which runs more than 600 pages, aims to establish a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto industry, but it has faced repeated setbacks in recent months.
