Vitalik Tests Mobile Offline Local Knowledge Apps

Vitalik said on X that he is testing mobile offline local knowledge apps built by developers. According to Odaily, he said the apps have improved compared with the ones he tried to build two months ago, but they are still slower and less effective on complex questions than models that run on laptops. He added that they perform poorly on specialized travel-related queries, such as finding the best vegan restaurant in a city, and said he hopes the apps will continue to improve so users can look up factual information without internet access.
