Venice says it now has its own Autonomous System Number and is building its own network backbone, according to Venice's announcement on X.An owned ASN and backbone give Venice more control over the infrastructure behind its services. Reducing reliance on intermediaries may support its privacy narrative while allowing the project to manage more of the underlying stack directly.The announcement describes infrastructure being built, so it does not by itself demonstrate adoption or confirm that stronger privacy outcomes have already been realized.Venice now has its own Autonomous System Number.We’re building our own network backbone so we can own more of the stack - fewer intermediaries, better control, stronger privacy guarantees.
