THORChain responded to criticism that it did not take action to stop hackers who attacked Bitget from transferring assets. According to Foresight News, THORChain said it was deeply saddened by the recent vulnerability incident and understood how difficult it was for everyone involved.THORChain said it is decentralized and permissionless, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, and asked what responsibilities those networks should bear when handling known stolen funds.
