Standard Chartered Starts Deliverable BTC And ETH Desk In UAE

Standard Chartered will now deliver real Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) to institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates, rather than derivatives that only track price. The bank said the desk was announced Thursday through its Dubai arm, according to BeInCrypto, and it claims no other global systemically important bank offers the same deliverable spot service. The move follows prior Dubai launches for custody in September 2024 and spot trading in London in July 2025.
