Stacks: Anchorage builds institutional BTC staking support - 24 Sep 2026

Anchorage Digital is building support for Bitcoin Staking on Stacks, giving institutions a way to enroll and fund a BTC Bond directly from their Anchorage account. Participants earn weekly BTC rewards and reclaim principal at maturity, while the deposited BTC stays in custody at a federally chartered bank. The announcement opens a regulated custody channel for institutional Bitcoin to participate in Stacks' staking economy. Because assets remain held at Anchorage, a federally chartered crypto bank, institutions that cannot self-custody or interact with staking protocols directly gain a compliant route to earn BTC-denominated rewards. This broadens the pool of capital that can flow into Stacks once the product is live. The support is still in development, so availability and terms for enrolled institutions are not yet confirmed.NEW: is building support for Bitcoin Staking on Stacks.Institutions can enroll and fund a BTC Bond directly via their Anchorage account, earn weekly BTC rewards, and reclaim principal at maturity.BTC stays in custody at a federally chartered bank on Bitcoin L1.
