SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom Opposes Ethereum EIP-8363

SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom has come out against EIP-8363, arguing the Ethereum proposal would weaken DeFi and erase ETH’s native yield advantage over Bitcoin (BTC). according to BeInCrypto, Chalom said lower staking yields could raise on-chain borrowing costs, reduce liquidity and deter institutions, while analysts at Messari said the draft is unlikely to pass. The proposal would burn part of validator rewards as staking rises, reaching 100% when staked ETH hits 60.25 million over an 18-month rollout.
