SEC’s Uyeda Says Tokenization Will Get Guardrails

SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda said the agency is rethinking core parts of market structure, including where stocks trade, how prices are discovered, company reporting frequency, shareholder voting and whether private assets belong in retirement accounts, according to Bloomberg.He said the current approach emphasizes pilot projects and guardrails, and that the SEC wants to gather observations and data before proposing new rules.
