SEC Proposes Crypto Fundraising Framework That Could Revive ICO-Style Token Sales

The SEC proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, a framework that would let crypto projects raise money without full securities registration and could revive ICO-style token sales. According to BeInCrypto, Commissioner Hester Peirce said the plan gives entrepreneurs a path past rules she called ill-fitting, while the proposal creates a $5 million startup exemption over four years and a $75 million annual fundraising exemption with audited financials and ongoing reporting.
