SA analyst sees stocks, bonds, gold, and crypto rising into year-end

Wall Street closed higher Friday as easing Treasury yields and lower oil prices supported equities, with investors continuing to monitor developments surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.Seeking Alpha analyst Alex King of said the week demonstrated why investors should focus on market prices rather than attempting to predict moves from individual economic or financial inputs.“This was yet another week in which the lesson was: trust price and price only,” King stated, arguing that seemingly conflicting asset moves can make macro-driven predictions difficult. On Friday the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained +0.9%, while the S&P 500 () advanced +0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite added +0.4%.King pointed to a week in which “yields exploded, gold dumped, crypto inched up, the Nasdaq fair mooned, and the S&P just kept on truckin,” highlighting the divergence across major asset classes. “Make that make sense,” he added.Despite the cross-asset volatility, King maintained a constructive outlook through year-end, saying his firm expects “equities, bonds, gold, and crypto all higher into year end.”The comments underscore the difficulty of relying on macroeconomic signals alone when asset prices respond differently to shifting market expectations.
