Ripple Wins Brevan Howard as a Prime Brokerage Client: Will XRP Benefit?

Ripple has signed Brevan Howard, a global alternative investment manager, to a multi-asset prime brokerage deal, deepening a relationship that dates back to Ripple’s 2025 funding round. What the Expanded Deal CoversRipple announced Tuesday that its Ripple Prime unit will provide prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to Brevan Howard funds across both traditional and digital assets. The company framed the deal as a response to growing demand from large investment managers for prime services built on a single, regulated platform.Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel called Brevan Howard’s trust a recognition of the firm’s cross-asset capabilities.“There are few firms equipped to provide the next generation of prime services that sophisticated investors expect, and Brevan Howard’s trust in Ripple Prime is recognition of our strong competitive position and cross-asset capabilities,” Kimmel said. Moreover, Brevan Howard Group COO Alan McGroarty pointed to the growing overlap between digital and traditional markets as the reason behind the deal.“Ripple has built a differentiated platform that we expect will provide our investment teams with increased operational ease and capital efficiency,” McGroarty said. The relationship isn’t new. Funds tied to Brevan Howard took part in Ripple’s $500 million strategic funding round in 2025.Why Leverage Hasn’t Caught Up to XRP’s RallyWidely-followed crypto analyst Rain posted on X that XRP gained more than 43% last quarter, yet leverage in the derivatives market still hasn’t followed:Exchange reserves: Binance and Upbit fell by about 104.7 million XRP over the same stretch.Large wallets: holdings of 10 million to 100 million XRP grew from 12.48 billion to 13.8 billion tokens in the past month.ETF inflows: 12 straight weeks positive, but the latest week slowed to $4.74 million from $75.6 million.Open interest: Binance’s XRP figure sits near $517 million, down from roughly $1.3 billion last October.Rain reads this as coins moving from exchanges into larger wallets rather than traders piling on leverage, and asks whether a break above $1.53 could finally bring leveraged buyers back in.Why One Chart Watcher Sees $2 Coming Back Into ViewCrypto analyst Moustache posted on X that XRP’s weekly chart shows a potential inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, with price near $1.50 approaching neckline resistance around $1.55.A confirmed breakout could open the door toward $2 to $2.10, while the pattern’s right shoulder marks support near $1.30.Photo via Shutterstock Read Also:
