Protocol Guild Establishes ACD Fund for Ethereum Core Development Coordination

Protocol Guild, the Ethereum open-source developer organization, has launched a dedicated fund called the ACD Fund for core development coordination. According to Foresight News, the first grant will be made with EthCoordinate, formerly EthStaker, to support Nixo’s ACD, or All Core Devs, coordination work, but the grant amount was not disclosed.Nixo’s role will be subject to accountability measures similar to other positions funded by the PGF, including role descriptions, quarterly reports, annual reviews, and oversight by the broader membership. The funding comes from PGF’s existing operating budget, while other coordination or research roles that were not funded will be considered separately.Nixo confirmed on X that he left the Ethereum Foundation in April this year but will continue participating in Ethereum governance coordination. EthCoordinate is a crypto-native organization that emerged from the EthStaker community and aims to consolidate fragmented governance coordination, support Forkcast operations, and increase stakeholder participation in proposals.
