peaq: peaqOS Verify launches with machine and operator verification - 01 Oct 2026

peaqOS Verify, the sixth peaqOS function, went live on October 1, 2026. The function lets machines prove their authenticity through secure-chip attestation against the manufacturer's certificate chain. peaq also verifies the business operating the machine, with both checks anchored to the machine's onchain identity. The release adds verification of both the machine and its operator to peaq's machine-economics platform. Anchoring these checks to the same onchain identity connects hardware authenticity with the verified operating business. This expands the platform's core functionality and supports its token-utility thesis, although the extent of that support depends on subsequent adoption of the verification function.Robots and machines can now prove they're realIntroducing peaqOS Verify, the sixth function of peaqOS→ The machine's secure chip signs a challenge and peaqOS checks it against the manufacturer's certificate chain→ peaq verifies the business operating the machine→ Both…
