Peach Bitcoin said Swiss regulators are seeking to re-examine the compliance framework for its no-KYC peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading platform, which has been allowed to operate since 2022. According to Odaily, the company will temporarily exit its custodial process starting September 1, 2026, and use a non-custodial model during the appeal period.Under the temporary setup, only users who complete KYC, receive manual whitelist approval, or meet transaction history requirements can create sell orders. Sellers who have not completed KYC may participate in only one active trade at a time. Buying will remain open to all users, with a 500 Swiss franc limit per transaction and a maximum premium of 6%. The in-app dispute resolution system will remain available, but Peach Bitcoin will no longer sign in custody and will continue charging a 2% fee on released trades.Peach Bitcoin founder @proofofsteph said the company will not immediately abandon its no-KYC model and will communicate with regulators about its position. If the appeal ultimately fails, the company said it will comply with the regulatory decision.
