NEAR Protocol: Inbound Quantum Security secures inbound transactions - By 31 Dec 2027

NEAR Protocol begins securing inbound transactions from other chains through its Inbound Quantum Security milestone as those chains migrate to post-quantum schemes.The milestone addresses the security of transactions entering NEAR from external chains as their cryptographic systems change. As those networks adopt post-quantum schemes, inbound transaction protection must account for the security methods used by the connected chains. This work supports cross-chain utility during that migration by focusing on transactions sent into NEAR from other ecosystems. Its scope is limited to inbound activity from external chains, so the announcement does not describe a general update to every transaction processed on NEAR.
