Midnight: Introduces a shielded deposit-token template - Q1 2027

Midnight plans to introduce a shielded deposit-token template in Q1 2027. The template supports token issuance, redemption for cash and transfer controls, giving institutions tools to manage deposit tokens.The roadmap shows a bank balance sheet as the target use case. Institutions could use the template to put regulated deposits on-chain while keeping them private and retaining control over how the tokens move.
