MetaMask Owner Uncovers North Korean Developer Inside Team

Consensys said it caught a North Korean developer who worked inside MetaMask for about a month under the fake name Tyler Knapp and on GitHub as imyugioh. According to BeInCrypto, the contractor helped write core wallet code before access was cut in April, and the company said its review found no misappropriation of assets or data, no malicious code and no impact to user safety. Consensys also alerted law enforcement and is reviewing contractor vetting.
