Matter Labs Launches Prividium Commander to Support Bank Blockchain Deployments
Matter Labs CEO Alex Gluchowski unveiled Prividium Commander at Money20/20 USA. According to ChainCatcher, the product is designed to address operational barriers to banks putting blockchain services into production, including issuance controls, transfers, audits and compliance workflows. Gluchowski said that while many banks have tested blockchain, relatively few have deployed it in live services.Prividium Commander is a unified control plane for managing permissions, configuring token features and setting operational policies. It connects to existing banking systems and supports public and private blockchain infrastructure. The product is built on Matter Labs’ permissioned privacy platform Prividium, which uses ZK Stack technology. Institutions can run private chains on their own infrastructure and use zero-knowledge proofs to anchor transactions to Ethereum, enabling settlement finality without disclosing customer balances or transaction details.Matter Labs open-sourced the Prividium Core permissions engine in September 2026, with Deutsche Bundesbank as its first tester. Cari Network has selected Prividium for a multi-bank tokenized deposit platform involving regional banks including Huntington and M&T Bank, with production planned for later in 2026. Matter Labs shifted its focus entirely to Prividium’s institutional privacy infrastructure in mid-2026.
