Lighter Reports August Open Interest Above $1 Billion and $3.95 Billion in Trading Volume

Lighter team members released the project’s August data summary. In August, Lighter’s open interest topped $1 billion, and trading volume reached about $39.5 billion, with its market share in global perpetual contract trading rising month over month.According to Odaily, the independent trading platform built by Robinhood and Lighter also grew in August, with total trading volume of about $5 billion, more than 21,000 accounts, and about $500,000 in total trading fees generated during the month. Lighter also repurchased 927,800 LIT in August.
