Lido DAO: Targets 0x02 CSM Mainnet Launch - Oct 2026

Lido is targeting the 0x02 Community Staking Module mainnet launch in October, with the rollout conditional on smooth testnet operation. The module enables permissionless operation of 0x02 validators within Lido Core, allowing independent operators to run validators without going through an approval process. The launch extends Lido's staking infrastructure to a broader set of participants. The main effect is expanded permissionless node-operator participation. By removing approval requirements, the 0x02 CSM lowers the barrier for individual and smaller operators to secure Lido, which can diversify the validator set beyond large professional entities. The module also brings roughly 2.26x capital efficiency into Lido Core, meaning operators can bond less capital per unit of stake they run. For LDO holders, this strengthens the staking product thesis by widening who can contribute to the protocol's validator base. The October timing remains conditional, so a rough testnet period could shift the mainnet schedule.Assuming the testnet runs smoothly, 0x02 CSM mainnet is targeted for October.Learn more about 0x02 CSM here:
