Ledger Quietly Fixed Ethereum App Bug Before AI Firm Went Public

Ledger says it patched an Ethereum app bug on Aug. 12, two weeks before AI security firm TestMachine disclosed it, according to BeInCrypto, after the firm said a malicious website could swap a transaction while users were reviewing it. The flaw could have led users to approve an unlimited token allowance instead of the transfer shown on screen. Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet called the disclosure fear-mongering and said the company’s Donjon team found and fixed the issue first.
