Keeta Network CEO Ty said the investigation into a recent attack on the payment public chain has made substantial progress, with evidence collected that can identify the attacker. The evidence includes the attack-related IP address, VPN and VPS infrastructure information, user agents and technical environment used to send unauthorized requests, related email addresses, and the software and infrastructure service providers involved. According to Foresight News, the evidence has been preserved and submitted to the relevant parties.Ty said the attacker must return all funds obtained from the attack within 72 hours, and repayment in KTA, ETH, or USDC will be accepted. If the funds are returned in full, Keeta said it is willing to offer a reward for the vulnerability discovery and resolve the matter without pursuing legal liability. The statement added that if the funds are not returned within 72 hours, Keeta will reserve all rights to pursue legal action and recover the funds. On August 20, Ty said the root cause of the security incident had been identified and that the issue was limited to the affected component, without involving the anchoring system or external connection systems. He said KTA on the Base network was not affected, the mainnet would remain read-only until patch testing was completed, and the team was evaluating a full compensation plan for affected users.
