Hyperliquid is once again drawing attention as a large whale continues to accumulate amid its recent price rally. The whale has made a sizable HYPE purchase, adding to a series of aggressive buys. This comes as the price has rallied sharply but is now consolidating near the $82 to $84 range, just below a key technical resistance level. With $86.85 as the immediate breakout hurdle, the bigger question is whether HYPE price can turn the ongoing accumulation into a sustained move and potentially reach a three-digit figure.HYPE Whale Accumulation IntensifiesThe HYPE accumulation has taken yet another turn as the mysterious wallet continues to add to its position. The whale bought 141,442 HYPE worth approximately $11.88 million, following nearly 243,178 HYPE bought worth $20.24 million in the past few days. Just days earlier, between August 25 and 27, this wallet accumulated over 387,952 HYPE, worth around $31.5 million through Hyperliquid, OKX, Bybit and Gate.Mysterious whale 0x6436 bought another 141,442 ($11.88M) today. Taken together, these three recent buys amount to 773,107 HYPE, worth roughly $63.6 million. The repeated purchases make the activity more notable than a single large whale transaction and suggest that the wallet is steadily increasing its HYPE exposure. That becomes particularly important as HYPE consolidates near the $83 area, below its recent high around $86 to $87.Hyperliquid Price Analysis—Here’s What’s NextHYPE price has entered a crucial phase around $81 to $84 after falling from its ATH around $86.65. This indicates that the traders could be probably digesting the rally instead of extending it. After breaking the 0.618 FIB at $61.32, the price reclaimed $72.46, which had previously acted as resistance. The move accelerated from here, taking the token toward the $86.65 FIB level 1.Despite HYPE’s sharp rally, the open interest continued to trend lower on the chart and is currently around 3.48 million. This indicates that the rally has not been accompanied by a sustained expansion in the derivatives. Although this suggests short covering and deleveraging during the rally, rather than a fresh wave of leveraged longs entering, it does mean the next breakout needs confirmation. On the other hand, CVD has returned closer to zero after showing a positive spike. This indicates the buyers stepped in aggressively during the breakout, but that buying pressure has not yet remained consistently strong during the consolidation.Wrapping it up—Can Hyperliquid Price Reach $100?Hyperliquid price reaching $100 is realistic, but it still needs confirmation. The latest whale accumulation adds a strong demand catalyst, while the chart shows HYPE consolidating just below the key resistance at $86.65. A clean breakout above this level could open the doors toward $90 to $95 and eventually $100. However, cooling volume, mixed CVD, and weaker OI suggest the move still needs fresh buying pressure. For now, $100 is a credible upside target rather than a certainty, while a rejection near $86.65 could send the HYPE price back toward the $72.46 support.
