Hedera: Agent Accounts launch targets mainnet availability - Q2 2027

Hedera's Agent Accounts launch targets mainnet availability in Q2 2027, subject to security review and legal sign-off. The announced product gives AI agents programmable, non-custodial spending accounts on Hedera. These accounts have on-chain spending limits and approved recipients, setting rules for how agents can spend funds and which recipients they can pay.If delivered, Agent Accounts would route AI-agent payment activity through Hedera by allowing the accounts to settle payments in HBAR on-chain. The spending rules constrain payment amounts and destinations, so an agent's ability to transact is bounded by the account's configured limits and recipient approvals. What's next?🔹 Q4 2026: Limited partner validation on testnet🔹 Q1 2027: Targeted public testnet access🔹 Q2 2027: Targeted mainnet availability, pending security review and legal sign-offExplore the full breakdown 👇
