Fusion Source Energy and Loaf Sign MOU to Tokenize Over $500 Million Australian Solar and Battery Projects

Energy developer Fusion Source Energy and its partners have signed a memorandum of understanding with onchain real-world asset platform Loaf to issue more than $500 million of Australian solar and battery projects onchain. According to ChainCatcher, the plan covers more than 1,000 hectares of land and is led by Project Amber, a more than 200 MW project. The funds are expected to accelerate development and expand Amber's battery capacity.Amber is a utility-scale solar park that will combine more than 200 MW of solar generation with multi-hour battery storage. According to ChainCatcher, the project is expected to generate enough electricity annually to power more than 70,000 households, or roughly the demand of a 50 MW data center. The pipeline also includes battery storage assets below 5 MW and distributed energy resources across multiple Australian sites.FSE CEO Weiwei Shi said Amber is one of the larger hybrid co-located projects in the Southern Hemisphere and that Loaf could broaden investor access without adding friction while providing continuous, transparent pricing for the assets. Loaf said Project Amber will become a key asset in its ecosystem, and that users will be able to go long or short as the project matures and begins trading.
