French Family Held at Gunpoint in Home Invasion Linked to Crypto Theft Attempt

A family in Taverny, in France's Val-d'Oise department, was held hostage by an armed group during a home invasion, according to French newspaper Le Parisien. According to ChainCatcher, the suspects tied up the victim's wife and 10-year-old child and used a stun gun on the husband while trying to seize his cryptocurrency assets.The attackers ultimately took only a small amount of money and items from the home. Six suspects were handed over to judicial authorities on September 11 and are under investigation for organized armed robbery, extortion, unlawful detention, and participation in a criminal group.
