Ethereum Institutional Co-Founder Visits South Korea to Seek Institutional Partnerships

Ethereum Institutional co-founder Matthew Dawson made his first visit to South Korea and met with major local banks, securities firms, asset management companies, and exchanges to explore partnerships. According to ChainCatcher, Dawson said South Korea has strong financial institutions and a developer community capable of making full use of blockchain infrastructure, and he pointed to the Financial Services Commission's recent direction on tokenized securities policy as a favorable time for cooperation.Dawson said he expects South Korean institutions, which are currently starting with private chains, to eventually upgrade to public blockchains. He added that Ethereum is a suitable infrastructure for holding core institutional assets because of its security, liquidity, and neutrality. Ethereum Institutional also plans to appoint a head of Asia within 6 to 7 weeks and is hiring technical, business, and consulting talent in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan.
