CryptoRank: Nearly 3 in 4 Top 100 Tokens Are Operationally Dead

CryptoRank data shows 71.9% of 1,539 tokens it analyzed are classified as operationally dead, with 62% of Top 100 tokens dying within five years and a median lifespan of two years and four months. According to BeInCrypto, CryptoRank defines dead tokens as assets delisted from major exchanges with daily volume below $10,000 for more than 90 days.A separate CryptoRank study found that, from July 2021, only 41 of the Top 100 tokens kept their rank, 46 dropped out and 13 shut down, while the losers lost a median 93% of market value.
