Crypto lobby group TDC sues Illinois to block digital asset tax

Crypto lobbying group TDC, or The Digital Chamber, has sued Illinois to block a 0.2% tax on digital asset transactions set to take effect in January. According to CoinDesk, the lawsuit says the Digital Asset Tax Act violates the U.S. and Illinois constitutions and is preempted by federal law, and asks a federal judge to stop Illinois from enforcing it.
